Which coffee in convenience store do you savor? ― Comparing to five different types of coffee that you can buy only 100 yen
A lot of Japanese really prefer drinking coffee in convenience stores these days, and besides it cost only 100 yen. The way of the purchase is straightforward because you get a empty cup and brew coffee by the machine in shops. Then, you can have a good time to drink fresh coffee! Have you tried it?
Although each convenience store has different tastes, are there differences of the flavor? I’d evaluate these tastes simply through comparing with all coffees. Please make use of my evaluation when you buy it!
How to assess these tastesFive convenience stores which are Seven-Eleven, Family Mart, Lawson, Ministop and Circle K Sunkus were chosen. Then this report mentions in terms of coffees’ flavors.
Seven-ElevenPrice: Regular 100 yen, Large 150 yen
This coffee is roasted sufficiently and tastes relatively thick. Additionally there are full-body and bitterness, but no acidity. Thus you feel satisfied with this rich body. It provides you stout taste which seems valuable coffee.
Family MartPrice: Small 100 yen, Medium 150 yen, Large 180 yen
It has smelled refreshing since you open the top. As for flavor, light acidity is left as an aftertaste even though you can taste mild at first. To choose coffee in smell, you would purchase it in Family Mart!
LawsonPrice: Small 100 yen, Medium 150 yen, Large 180 yen
When you start drinking it, something sharp drifts in your mouth. It has plentiful tastes like fruits and the acidity is the most abundant among five coffees. Likewise there are comparatively spicy savor and aroma.
MinistopPrice: Small 100 yen, Regular 150 yen
Actually the mildest coffee amongst that is Ministop’s product. When you take a sip of of it, you slightly feel sweet taste. Later the bitterness and faint acidity are left after swallowing. Thereby I can recommend it to people who don’t prefer too bitter taste.
Circle K SunkusPrice: Regular 100 yen, Large 150 yen
It gives you mildness, too. However comparing to Ministop’s one the acidity is little bit more notable. This coffee also has a good finish and scent. What we called it is ‘Café Americano’ and it soothes to our mouth.
Which coffee can we recommend? To sum it up, the most recommended coffee is Seven-Eleven’s one.
Apparently all of them are really good tastes due to places which the majority of people access. Hence you shouldn’t have bought coffee anywhere you go. Most coffees have relatively good bodies and go down easy.
But what I have to choose one among all is coffee in Seven-Eleven! It has a plenty of body and bitterness which a number of people strongly want.
Coffee in Lawson is the runner-up. The reason of that is there is no comparable coffee which is fresher in other shops.
Summary of each coffee
- Seven-Eleven: Thick and rich body
- Family Mart: Refreshing scent
- Lawson: Originally acid taste
- Ministop: Mild and easy to drink
- Circle K Sunkus: Seems like Café Americano and good finish
