It’s located in a residential area of Yokohama city, surrounded by rice fields. Surprisingly, there you can see fireflies earlier than other spots where they can be seen.
The nearest station is Aoba-dai, Tokyu Denentoshi Line. From the station, you can take by bus which is bound for “鴨志田団地”.
② Shirahama Flower Park (白浜フラワーパーク):Chiba prefecture

Shirahama Flower Park is on the tip of the Boso Peninsula. The place is unique, because you can see two types of fireflies : in the sky and in the sea!
It seems too difficult to visit because the site is a bit far from Tokyo, but suttle buses which directly goes to and return to Tokyo station run twice a day.

There, several different types of fireflies are raised. From Shinjuku Station in Keio Line or Odakyu Line, it takes 30-40 minutes.
Please pay attention to pick up a numbered ticket, because during their season is very crowded and you absolutely need one to enter the site.

④Kanayama Ryokuchi Park(金山緑地公園): Tokyo prefecture

The park is very popular for a barbeque site, and through an year many people visit there. Fireflies are fed, and this is one of the best spot to enjoy seeing them during summer season.

It’s just the center of Tokyo, and very easy to access. There, you can see fireflies, at the garden of the hotel.

This is a marshy area with crystal stream which is very rare in Kanto area. You can enjoy seeing fireflies from May to July, longer than any other places. Other than fireflies, you’ll see rare small rare animals living around there.
From Tokyo station, it takes about half an hour. At Ninomiya Station in JR Toukaidou Line, you can go the park by bus.

During the summer season, the park places a special place for seeing fireflies. It’s where they have lived for a long time without human’s help. It seems a bit far from Tokyo, however, you can go there without transferring trains in Seibu Line. From the nearest station Seibu-Chichibu station, shuttle buses run every day.
