There are many dialects in Japan. Some of them make our heart beat and make us even want to speak them. Today we introduce you top 5 dialects, which local people guarantee the cuteness. 5th places: Hiroshima and Mie

Mie

2 dialects got 5th places. One of them is Mie. 16% of the local people say they are proud of  its cuteness. Though most of us don’t know Mie dialect, there are really cute ones, like “Ssasatte himayani(I’m free tomorrow.)” , “Nereyan yan (I cannot sleep)” and “Koohtto(Well..)”.

Hiroshima

Second dialect of 5th place is Hiroshima. Likewise Mie, 16% of the local people say they are proud of  its cuteness. Many people know Hiroshima dialect, like “~Jaken”, but Hiroshima dialect has lots more cute expressions like “Gambarinsai (Good luck)” and “Kogainakee(as it’s like that)”

4th place: Kyoto

Surprisingly Kyoto took 4th place. Many of you must have expected it as 1st place. 18% of local people answered that they are proud of its prettiness. Well known expressions are “~dosue” and “Ohkini(Thank you)”, using by Maiko(Apprentice Geisha). They also use many cute dialects, like “Okibari yasu (Good luck)”, “Gyosan oagari (Eat a lot)” and “Murishitara akimahen (Take care of yourself)”, which Japanese men faint in agony. Kyoto dialect is really cute!

2 palces: Fukuoka and Nagasaki

Nagasaki

 

There are 2 dialects which took 2 place. First one is Nagasaki. 20% of Nagasaki people say they can be proud of their dialect. They have cute expressions like “Akachokabe (Beh!)” , “Uttamaguru(Surprised)” ,”Occhakeru(I’m falling.)” and “Ohbangyana(You’re reckless.)”.

Fukuoka

The second one is Fukuoka. 20% of the local people answered that they are proud of their dialect. Fukuoka has many beautiful women named “Hakata-bijin”. When such beautiful women speak cute Fukuoka dialect, it’s a double advantage! Cute expressions are like “Suito(I love you.)” and “Airashik(it’s cute.)”.

1st place: Tokushima

Unexpectedly 1 place went to Tokushima dialect. 22% of the local people answered that they are proud of its cuteness. Tokushima dialect is called as “Awa-ben” and the local people guarantee that it has many cute expressions, like “Ababai(My eyes are dazzled.)”,”~jyo” and “Dokurentoite(Stop sulking.)”. You must have no objection that  Tokushima got 1st place..
