It has been attracting Gundam fans, and the site is now a famous tourist destination in Odaiba area.

Not only for Japanese but also non-Japanese fans, the figure has been a must-see thing when they are in Tokyo.

However, the figure will be removed on 5th of March!

OH NO!!

The life-size figure was displayed for the first time in July 2009 at Odaiba Shiokaze Park.

BANDAI NAMCO Holdings Inc., a company who installed the figure, previously planned to display it for a limited period.

However, it fascinated more people than it had imagined.

About 4.15 millions of people, both fans and those who don’t know Gundam so much, came to see the amazing full-scale Gundam for only 52 days.

Because of the popularity, the Gumdam was invited to an event in Shizuoka city, and attracted a lot of people.

It moved to Diversity Tokyo Plaza in Odaiba in Tokyo in April 2012, and it has been a major sightseeing spot around a bayside area in Tokyo.

Unfortunately, “Gundam Front Tokyo,” an exhibition facility with Gundam theme, will end on 5th of April, 2017.

Are you sank in despair?

I’m going to give you good information that cheer you up a bit.

According to BANDAI NAMCO and other three companies, a new project is under way.

Even though they haven’t shown any details, let’s expect what the four companies, the initiator of installing the full-sized Gundam at Odaiba, will do!
